THE ROLE OF NUTRITION IN ADDICTION & MENTAL HEALTH
This workshop will begin with a basic introduction to orthomolecular medicine in the treatment of addiction. The biochemical process of neurotransmitter synthesis and the role of diet in this process will be presented at a practical and understandable level for counselors. The impact of this understanding on mental health and addiction issues will be addressed as well. The workshop will include diagnostic tools and suggestions for dietary modification and supplementation.
PCB Approved for 6 hours.
