I am professional male in my early 40s with a wife and kids. Due to many prior sports injuries I have had to have numerous surgeries. Of course, post-surgery I was always on pain meds. This led to becoming hooked on pain meds and wanting them more than needing them. I heard about Arche Wellness and decided to give them a try. Thank goodness! Their treatment had me through the withdrawl phase with little adverse effects and NO cravings for my old friends the pain meds. I am still new to the recovery process but have no desire to take pain meds ever again. This treatment is the real deal and should be strongly considered. The cost is well worth it if you are truly serious about sobriety. Consider it an investment in yourself and your family. Thank you Arche!

I am 52 years old and from today?s standards a successful professional business person. I have so much to be thankful for, a beautiful daughter, a loving family, friends, and my own personal Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ who watches over and cares for me.

Looking back through my life, it amazes me that even with all of this going on, I would still let something else absolutely control my life. On different occasions, I tried to get help. I am not saying that these other programs are not helpful, but when I completed the other programs, I still felt uneasy putting my life back together. Obviously, until recently, alcohol was still part of how I managed my life ?looking for something to numb the past and the daily noise that today?s busy world provides.? In the past several years, I looked forward to the times that I could just shut down the hustle and bustle of life. I believe this behavior fed into my depressive type living style and eventually not wanting to continue on.

I am very fortunate that I have a very loving family; my parents came over to my home on different occasions to see me in a very ?Non? responsive mode. It pains to me to say that the day that I came to Arche Wellness, my father literally begged me to come and see what they had to offer.

I knew I needed help, but my past experiences lead me to believe I have done this before?.?What?s going to be different this time??
One thing God has blessed me with, is a good memory and when I arrived there, my guard was up. I thought though deep down, ?I want help.? Walking into a strange place, meeting new people, and talking about my past life is not what I call, ?My Comfort Zone.? The staff made me feel welcomed and tried to make me feel at ease. During the evaluation, I was point blank told, ?the program that we are going to recommend to you?Is NOT going to be easy.? ?OK?, another challenge in my life?, but actually I think this is what clicked for me. It is going to be up to me, to make it work.

Surprisingly, the first 8 weeks went past quickly. I made it a mission in my life that I would try to do exactly what was asked of me. The initial test results had even Dr. Miranda perplexed, he commented, ?I have seen many test results before, but I am amazed that the body can still function with the levels that your tests reveal.? This is what is so exciting about this program to me. When I am mentally working out or sorting out my life, my body is healing. The staff would plan out my daily supplements, vitamins, and minerals for the week and at the same time talk about my week?s agenda, good eating habits, and schedule my exercises. My energy level after a short couple of weeks gave me new hope that I was not over the hill, ?Completely.?

I know that this is ?My? assessment of the program provided by Arche Wellness and I have only been in it for several months. I can though share the facts about me,

? I am feeling healthy
? Losing some weight
? Increased energy
? Wanting to live and enjoy life

I am so thankful for deciding to have Arche Wellness help me; it has really changed my life, matter
of fact, it has changed several of my family members in their eating and exercising habits. I really believe from my heart that if you give Arche Wellness a chance to be a part of your life, you will not look back. I hope you have the same success that the program has given me.

THANK YOU to the staff at Arche Wellness for this wonderful work and hope. You will always be part of my life and in my prayers, May God bless you all!

I came to Arche in late December of 2007 a broken man. Drinking was not a part of my life; it was my life. The only thing that mattered was where and when I could get my next drink. I didn?t care about my job, my girlfriend, my family or even about my health. I was malnourished and weighed a slight 143 pounds.

They helped me break the viscous downward spiral that I called life. Within the first few weeks of treatment I saw noticeable improvements in my health. Between the IV treatments, the supplements, and exercise regimen, I felt better than I had in ten years. By the time the first eight weeks of intensive treatment was over I felt like a million dollars. I had a new lease on life and I was back on top of my game.

I said my goodbyes and many thanks to the staff and packed my bags and headed back home. The plan was to do my follow up care from there via email and phone calls. I took tons of supplements with me and went back home with a fresh outlook. I didn?t hold up my end of the bargain. I went back to the same job, same girl, and same friends. Nothing changes if nothing changes. It only took several months before I was having a glass of wine with dinner. Then that progressed to a few beers with the boys after work. Before I knew it I was back up to a bottle of hard liquor a day. I had quit taking my supplements, stopped going to the gym and was once again on the fast track to the morgue.

With some very vigorous encouragement from my family, I swallowed my pride and headed back for round two at Arche. It only took two and a half weeks of treatment this time to put me back together.

I now know that moderation is not an option. I will never be the social drinker that can have just one or two. I am an alcoholic, and because of the crew at Arche I will spend the rest of my life as a recovering alcoholic. Which, I might add, is better than the alternative.

As a healthcare professional, I had known for some time that my adult son, living out west for the past 20 years, had an alcohol problem. Finally, nearly two years ago, he admitted it to me, but that he "could handle it." I began at that point looking for a place that would help him with the physical and the psychological aspects of an addiction. He had tried several more traditional approaches with no end to the problem in sight. It seemed he had about given up on himself and on everyone around him. The miracle that I had hoped and prayed for came on, none other, than Christmas Eve, when I called him and he asked if I could help him locate help back home. I had also done multiple Internet searches and made numerous phone calls looking for the program with the best success rate. All the recommendations pointed to a multi-faceted approach. I had received a brochure on Arche Wellness at a seminar that I had attended, and their approach struck me as just what would work for my son. I called the day after he arrived home, and we began the journey immediately toward his recovery. The staff assessed his physical, psychological and emotional state, and developed a plan to address each aspect. Within the first two weeks, he felt better physically to the point where he could begin exercising to the degree that he used to before the addiction ruled his life. Once the physical symptoms began to subside, I saw drastic improvement in his attitude, his emotions and problem solving skills. I can't say that it was any single thing, but the entire program and the entire staff that helped him make the drastic change by the end of the eight weeks. Although he has returned to the west, he continues to use the supplements, stays on the nutrition and the exercise program, communicates regularly with his counselor, and tells me he feels like a million. I am certainly a grateful mother who is thankful every day that this program is available in our area.

I knew I needed help, but I had been to Gateway three times and hated it. I decided to give this place a shot. No group, great staff and a really good setting. It was a lot of help. I feel much better and my life is back on track. I'm glad I went.

Our son tried a more traditional program several times unsuccessfully in an attempt to beat his drug addiction. He was frustrated by the cumbersome group approach. Finally we found Arche Wellness which offered a different, totally individualized program. He improved his eating habits, began exercising, and learned not only how to beat his addiction but also how to assimilate better into our family life. We have our son back and we are so grateful for the compassion and professionalism of the Arche Wellness staff.

I found the entire staff at Arche Wellness to be helpful in ways I didn?t even know were possible. From the counseling, which encompassed obvious aspects of addiction, to more subtle aspects of spirituality, they helped me to know myself much better. To the infusions, the vitamin supplements, doctor visits and physical workouts, which all contributed greatly to getting my physical health back on track and made my energy level skyrocket. All these things combined changed my entire attitude and ultimately saved my life.

When I got my DUI and was forced into treatment by my family, I thought it would be terrible. But Arche Wellness taught me about the physiological reasons I drank and they corrected them. Before coming to this program, I was lost, depressed and felt horrible everyday. I now am healthier than I have ever been, eat great and exercise regularly. I have been sober for 10 months and counting and I have never felt better!

- Tony T., May 2007

When I think about the physical health problems my son had in addition to his addiction, I cannot believe that he is even still alive. Thanks to Arche Wellness, his health is better than ever and he is back being the son I remember. They not only fixed his addiction and health, they brought back his personality. When I see him smiling and happy and focusing on his future, I can only say thank God I sent him to Arche.
